It has been a strange, unknown, shocking and abrupt start to the year for us. Self-Isolation is hard and lonely too. Humans may be the most adaptive but this event for us is all about taking one day at a time as it comes.🌀🌀
The effects of the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic are far-reaching. One of its most pervasive is that on work. No wonder it’s been called the greatest human tragedy. 💧💧💧
Many of us may have had enough. You may have occasional, suffocating moments too. This event has left many stressed, tired, confused, and frightened.😷😷😷
Funnily, a friend recently asked me ‘ What could be so difficult about 32 teeth?’ Years in a Dental School taught me lots of things about the intricacies of teeth but my greatest lessons came from my interactions with people as a Practice owner and a Clinician. 🌸🌸🌸
Recognising the impact of a pandemic can have on your mental health is so important.We have all seen the sudden impact of stress and panic including the toilet paper stockpiling! And in times like these, it makes me think that we all respond to situations differently. 💥💥💥
At the end of the day, we are humans first. 👬👬We need to find new ways to stay sociable while also practicing social distancing. Possibly, its time to connect and check on friends, family, workmates, and neighbours too. ❤️❤️❤️
Even in the midst of this crisis and change, there are lessons to learn and things to be grateful for. Let’s take a moment to pause and think about what are we most grateful for…think of things that make you happy in times of darkness? But most importantly, Let us ask the question – ARE YOU OK? 😊😊😊
